In the aftermath of India’s narrow defeat in the third T20I against England, Suryakumar Yadav expressed disappointment, stating that the team “had the game in their hands” but failed to capitalize on crucial moments.

“We were in a good position, but a few errors at critical junctures cost us the game. We just couldn’t finish it off,” Yadav remarked during the post-match interaction.

He acknowledged England’s strong bowling effort, specifically singling out leg-spinner Adil Rashid for praise. Rashid’s crafty variations put the Indian batting lineup under pressure and proved instrumental in England’s comeback.

“Adil Rashid bowled brilliantly. His control and ability to vary pace made it difficult for us to accelerate. Credit where it’s due,” Yadav added.

Despite the setback, Yadav emphasized the importance of learning from the defeat and maintaining a positive mindset for the upcoming matches. He expressed confidence in India’s ability to bounce back and seal the series.

India currently leads the five-match series 2-1, with the fourth T20I scheduled to take place at Ahmedabad.
