The Haryana government has announced plans to welcome and felicitate wrestler Vinesh Phogat with the same honor and recognition as a medalist. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that despite her recent disqualification from the Paris Olympics, Phogat’s contributions and achievements in wrestling deserve to be celebrated.
“Vinesh Phogat has brought immense pride to our state and country through her dedication and outstanding performances on the international stage,” said CM Saini. “We want to acknowledge her hard work and spirit by honoring her in a manner befitting a champion.”
