The unusual call comes as Jaishankar is set to visit Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting.
The PTI, currently engaged in widespread protests against the Pakistani government, made the offer in an attempt to draw international attention to their cause. The protests are largely centered around demands for fresh elections and grievances over the country’s current leadership.
