Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the global repercussions of misinterpreting the concept of dharma. Speaking at an event, Bhagwat emphasized that a flawed understanding of dharma often leads to acts of violence and injustice committed in its name.
“Dharma is about upholding righteousness and fostering harmony. However, when it is misinterpreted, it becomes a tool for division and atrocities,” Bhagwat stated.
He urged people to educate themselves about the true essence of dharma, which transcends religion and focuses on universal principles of justice, compassion, and equality. Bhagwat also called for collective efforts to counter such misinterpretations and promote a balanced understanding to prevent misuse in the name of faith.
The RSS chief’s remarks come amidst rising concerns about religious and cultural conflicts worldwide, underscoring the need for introspection and informed discourse on dharma’s true meaning.
