‘BJP government in Haryana contaminating Delhi’s water supply,’ claims Arvind Kejriwal ahead of polls

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made a serious allegation against the BJP-led Haryana government, accusing it of “mixing poison” in the water being supplied to the national capital. The statement comes just ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, intensifying the political battle between the AAP and BJP.

Kejriwal claimed that the contaminated water supply was a deliberate move to create health crises in Delhi, affecting millions of residents. “The BJP government in Haryana is conspiring to harm the people of Delhi by contaminating the Yamuna water that reaches us,” Kejriwal stated during a press conference.

The AAP leader further alleged that water quality tests conducted by the Delhi Jal Board revealed alarming levels of pollutants in the water sourced from Haryana, raising concerns over public health and safety.

Responding to Kejriwal’s claims, BJP leaders dismissed the allegations as baseless and accused AAP of resorting to fear-mongering tactics to sway voters ahead of the elections. Haryana government officials have also assured that the water supplied to Delhi meets all quality standards and undergoes regular testing.

The escalating water row between the two states is expected to become a key election issue, with AAP vowing to take legal action if the alleged contamination continues. Meanwhile, residents are left worried about the safety of their drinking water, urging authorities to address the matter swiftly.
