Airport Baggage Tag Unravels Deoria Murder: Wife and Nephew Accused in Dubai Returnee’s Death

Deoria Murder

In a chilling incident from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, a seemingly innocuous airport baggage tag led to the unraveling of a gruesome murder. Naushad Ahmed, a 38-year-old man who had recently returned from Dubai, was found dead, his body dismembered and stuffed into a trolley bag. The discovery was made by a farmer in a field approximately 55 kilometers from Naushad’s residence in Bhatauli village.

The breakthrough in the case came when investigators noticed an airline baggage tag still attached to the suitcase containing the victim’s remains. This crucial piece of evidence led authorities to Naushad’s wife, Razia Sultan, also known as Shiba. Upon interrogation, Razia confessed to the crime, revealing that she had conspired with her nephew, Ruman, and his friend, Himanshu, to murder her husband.

According to police reports, the motive behind the murder was Razia’s illicit relationship with her nephew. Naushad had become aware of the affair, leading Razia and her accomplices to plot his death. On the night of April 19, they allegedly killed Naushad by striking him on the head with sharp weapons, including an axe, cleaver, and steel chopper. They then wrapped his body in a bedsheet, placed it in a trolley bag, and disposed of it in a field under the Tarkulwa police station’s jurisdiction.

The case bears a disturbing resemblance to a recent incident in Meerut, where a woman and her lover murdered her husband, dismembered his body, and attempted to conceal the crime. These incidents highlight a concerning trend of domestic disputes escalating into heinous crimes.

Authorities have arrested Razia Sultan, and efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects. The investigation continues as the community grapples with the shock of this brutal crime.
