Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who recently resigned following corruption allegations, is set to hold a public forum titled “Janta ki Adalat” on September 22 at Jantar Mantar. This event is aimed at addressing the public’s concerns and allowing Kejriwal to engage directly with citizens regarding his resignation and the recent developments in Delhi’s political landscape.

Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai praised Kejriwal for “foiling BJP’s conspiracies” over the past two years and emphasized the importance of the upcoming event. “Arvind Kejriwal has thwarted all BJP conspiracies in the last two years, and now it’s a direct fight. If Kejriwal is re-elected with a huge majority, it will enhance the country’s respect, while the conspirators will be discredited,” Rai stated. He urged AAP members to model themselves after Kejriwal and affirmed that the party’s future hinges on the upcoming public engagement.

Although Kejriwal has remained silent since his resignation on Tuesday, sources suggest that he will address the public and take questions during the event.

Rai further claimed that the BJP fears AAP’s innovations in Delhi and acknowledged the central government’s concerns over the party’s growing influence. “When all of BJP’s tactics failed, they imprisoned Kejriwal, hoping to halt Delhi’s progress. However, the work continued, even after his arrest,” said Rai.

In addition, AAP announced that Atishi, the designated Chief Minister of Delhi, will be sworn in on September 21, marking her as the third woman to hold the post after Congress leader Sheila Dikshit and BJP’s Sushma Swaraj. Kejriwal’s resignation letter has already been forwarded by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to the President, clearing the way for Atishi’s new government.
