Malé: Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu has expressed his gratitude to India, referring to the neighboring country as the Maldives’ “closest ally” and acknowledging its significant economic support.
In a recent address, President Muizzu highlighted the strong bilateral ties between the two nations, emphasizing the pivotal role India has played in the Maldives’ economic development.
“India has been our closest ally and a steadfast partner in our economic progress,” Muizzu stated. “The support from India has been instrumental in helping us navigate through challenging times and achieve sustainable growth.”
The Maldivian leader also praised the collaborative efforts in various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, and education, which have contributed to the overall prosperity of the Maldives.
