Bokaro: Food delivery personnel took to the streets on motorcycles on Friday, rallying to encourage local residents to cast their votes on November 20. “These riders will distribute stickers with each food delivery, urging customers to fulfill their democratic duty,” said Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Jadhav Vijaya Narayan Rao.
District Collector Mohammad Mumtaz Ansari highlighted the district’s historically low voter turnout, emphasizing efforts to boost participation. The initiative, which engaged delivery personnel operating in Bokaro’s urban areas, is part of these efforts.
Participants in the rally held placards with messages like “Everyone must vote” and “We are the voters of India, let’s aim for 100% turnout.” Additionally, SWEEP nodal officers led participants in a voter’s pledge, reinforcing their commitment to electoral awareness in their communities. “This initiative, featuring a collaborative approach and impactful slogans, seeks to energize voters and boost turnout in the upcoming elections,” said Prabhas Dutta, a returning officer.
