A government doctor at a community health center in Uttar Pradesh allegedly left an inch-long surgical needle inside the head of a teenage girl while stitching a deep cut. The girl’s family has accused the doctor of being intoxicated during the procedure. In response, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Hapur has formed a team to investigate the incident. The matter has sparked outrage and raised concerns over medical negligence and patient safety at public healthcare facilities.
