Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured the Rajya Sabha that the Modi government is fully committed to purchasing all eligible farm produce at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Speaking during a parliamentary session, Chouhan emphasized that the government prioritizes the welfare of farmers and remains steadfast in its efforts to ensure fair pricing for agricultural produce.
“Farmers can rest assured that no eligible crop will go unsold at MSP. The government is dedicated to protecting their interests and strengthening the agricultural sector,” Chouhan stated.
The assurance comes amid ongoing debates about MSP and its role in safeguarding farmers’ livelihoods. The minister also highlighted recent measures undertaken to enhance procurement infrastructure and streamline processes, making it easier for farmers to access MSP benefits.
This statement aims to reinforce the government’s commitment to addressing farmers’ concerns and supporting sustainable agricultural practices across the country.
