BENGALURU: Karnataka’s Home Minister, G Parameshwara, announced that all illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in the state will be sent to detention camps and subsequently deported.
In a recent statement, Parameshwara emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the issue of illegal immigration. “We have identified several illegal Bangladeshi immigrants living in Karnataka. They will be sent to detention camps and deported to their country,” he said.
This move comes as part of the state’s broader efforts to tighten immigration control and ensure the security and welfare of its residents. The minister assured that due process will be followed in identifying and processing the deportations, in accordance with the law.
The Karnataka government has been taking stringent measures to detect and manage illegal immigration, which has been a concern for the state due to its potential impact on local resources and security.
