India Commissions Latest Multi-Role Stealth Frigate in Russia

India has added a state-of-the-art multi-role stealth frigate to its naval fleet, commissioned by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during a ceremony in Russia. This advanced warship, designed for versatility and cutting-edge stealth capabilities, is a significant boost to India’s maritime defense.

The frigate, part of the Project 11356 program, boasts superior radar-evading technology, advanced weaponry, and enhanced operational flexibility, making it a formidable asset for diverse missions, from anti-submarine warfare to air defense.

Speaking at the event, Singh emphasized the importance of strengthening India’s naval power amid evolving security challenges. “This induction marks a milestone in our efforts to enhance the operational capabilities of the Indian Navy. It reflects the strong and enduring partnership between India and Russia in defense collaboration,” he stated.
