In a sharp rebuttal to Delhi Minister Atishi’s claim of being “thrown out” of the Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, the BJP shared a letter from the Public Works Department (PWD), accusing her of misleading the public.

BJP’s Response

The BJP alleged that Atishi’s statements were a ploy to deflect blame and protect Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Sharing the PWD letter, BJP leaders stated that the facts contradicted Atishi’s assertions. “She is lying and trying to avoid criticizing Arvind Kejriwal. This is an attempt to garner sympathy,” a BJP spokesperson remarked.

Atishi’s Claim

Atishi earlier alleged that she was asked to vacate the CM’s residence and claimed she was being sidelined. “I have been thrown out of the CM house despite being a dedicated worker for the AAP government,” she said during a press briefing, calling it an unfortunate turn of events.

PWD’s Explanation

According to the PWD letter shared by the BJP, the department clarified that Atishi had been requested to vacate the premises due to routine administrative processes and not due to any political vendetta.

Political Reactions

This development has intensified the political tussle between the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). BJP leaders demanded transparency from the AAP leadership, while AAP supporters rallied behind Atishi, calling her a victim of political maneuvering.

What’s Next?

The controversy adds another layer to the ongoing rivalry between the BJP and AAP in Delhi, with both sides using the issue to highlight their narratives. As the debate continues, Delhiites await clarity on the matter, which has now taken center stage in the city’s political discourse.
