BHOPAL: In a swift operation, Guna police rescued a six-month-old girl who had been kidnapped for a Rs 14 lakh ransom on Saturday evening, reuniting her with her family within four hours.
The abduction occurred around 6 pm in Guna’s Aron town when the suspects approached the child’s grandfather, who was out for a walk. Under the guise of asking for directions, they forcibly took the child from him.
Police swiftly identified four suspects using CCTV footage. Negotiations were initiated, and the kidnappers agreed to return the girl through a mediator. However, upon noticing police teams in the area, they abandoned the plan and fled. The girl was safely reunited with her family around 10 pm.
