Saif Ali Khan Discharged

Saif Ali Khan has returned home after being discharged from Lilavati Hospital, where he was admitted following a shocking robbery attempt at his residence. The actor spent five days in the hospital after sustaining multiple stab wounds inflicted by an intruder.

Dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans, Saif was seen entering his residence under heavy security. He briefly paused to pose for the paparazzi before heading inside. His wife, Kareena Kapoor, and daughter, Sara Ali Khan, were present at the hospital during his discharge.

Following his recovery, Saif and Kareena have reportedly decided to move back to their previous residence at Fortune Heights in Bandra, along with their children, Taimur and Jeh. The decision aims to provide a more secure environment for the actor. The family will now be under enhanced security measures, including 24/7 surveillance by Mumbai Police.

The incident took place on January 16 when Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his home, suffering six stab wounds, one of which was near his spinal cord. Despite his injuries, he was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an auto-rickshaw. Bhajan Singh Rana, the rickshaw driver from Uttarakhand who was working his usual night shift, acted promptly to transport the bleeding actor to the hospital. His commendable act of kindness has been recognized with a reward of Rs 11,000 from an institution.

In an interview with ETimes, Bhajan Singh Rana admitted that he did not initially recognize Saif Ali Khan and was solely focused on helping an injured individual. He later realized the man’s identity after noticing his blood-soaked white kurta.

According to reports, the attacker, Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, gained access to Saif’s residence through the air-conditioning ducts and confronted him in his son Jeh’s bedroom. Following an extensive investigation that included CCTV footage analysis and fingerprint matching, the Mumbai Police apprehended Shehzad while he was attempting to flee to Bangladesh.

The incident has raised significant concerns about the security of high-profile individuals, prompting calls for stricter safety measures and vigilance.
