Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are officially husband and wife. The couple had a registered wedding on June 23 at Sonakshi’s home in Bandra, attended by close family and friends. Following the ceremony, they are set to host a celebration party at Bastian in Mumbai.
The newlyweds have shared their first photos as a married couple, radiating love and happiness. Sonakshi revealed in a heartfelt note that they chose this date because it marks the seventh anniversary of when they first fell in love. She wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017), we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on to it. Today, that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.

The celebrations continued with a mehendi function at Sonakshi’s house. The bride wore simple red ethnic wear, while Zaheer donned a white kurta with red print. The theme for their Sunday night party at Bastian is black and red, with elaborate red floral decorations and a red carpet. DJ Ganesh will be performing live, ensuring an entertaining evening.
In a voice note accompanying their wedding invite, which went viral, Sonakshi and Zaheer admitted to being in a relationship for seven years and living together for a year before deciding to marry. The couple, who starred together in ‘Double XL,’ are now ready to start their new life as husband and wife.
