Williams’ prolonged stay resulted from unexpected technical issues with Boeing’s Starliner capsule, prompting NASA to modify its mission plans. Despite the delays, Williams and her crewmates adapted seamlessly, contributing to vital ISS operations, conducting scientific experiments, and even participating in spacewalks. Williams, who logged 62 hours across nine spacewalks during her mission, holds the record for the most spacewalking hours by a female astronaut.
