Forged IDs, Fake Website, and Immigration Racket: Gang Helping Bangladeshis Settle in India Busted in Delhi

Immigration Racket Busted

Delhi Police have dismantled a sophisticated immigration racket that illegally facilitated Bangladeshi nationals in obtaining Indian identities. The operation involved forged documents, counterfeit IDs, and even a fake government website to create a facade of legitimacy.

Authorities revealed that the gang charged hefty sums to forge Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and other critical documents for Bangladeshi nationals seeking to settle in India. The syndicate’s operations included using the fake website to mimic government portals, further deceiving unsuspecting individuals and authorities.

The racket came to light during a routine verification process when discrepancies were found in the documents of some individuals. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of key operatives and the recovery of forged IDs, fake stamps, and digital tools used to create counterfeit documents.

“The gang’s reach and technical expertise highlight the evolving nature of such illegal operations,” a senior police officer stated. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other members linked to this network.

This bust underscores the ongoing challenges of tackling immigration-related fraud and securing the integrity of India’s identification systems.
